Cloud Kitties

This was a piece that started off as a random sketching in Illustrator, the first thing was the gray cat shape with the brush tool. I copied it and changed it's color shape and position until I was satisfied with the cats, each color of cat is it's own illustrator file. After that I saved them as pdf files to move into photoshop when I rasterized them and started playing with the back ground. I settled on a cloud type of background, but I'm not sure how well I accomplished that since I couldn't do whites and grays, I did try it though. It didn't contrast enough with the whites in the cats and the gray cat was really hard to see at that time. So I did a kind of sky bluish tint instead with some grays for the cat's shadows. Over all I like how it turned out, even if I haven't decided weather or not I got the background as cloud like as possible, or maybe it could be more like a dream scape thing if I failed on the clouds part.
